America is more divided and isolated along lines of difference than ever before. This very isolation has become breeding ground for hatred, prejudice, and discrimination.

Exposure to diversity and difference has been proven to help reduce fear, prejudice, and discrimination. Exposure has been proven to unravel implicit biases and oversimplifications about other identities and narratives. We plan on using media, technology, storytelling, and travel to create meaningful exposure into the mosaic of American diversity.

It has never been more important to leverage the power of media and storytelling to bridge the gaps empathy chasm that exists along lines of difference, whether ideological, or whether based in identity.

We are searching for 3 inaugural American Media Fellows who represent diverse identities, backgrounds, and voices.


Fellows will receive:
